STEYR MOTORS was able to once more surprise the boating business world with a product concept of unthinkable possibilities. The International Boatshow in Genova (51° Salone Nautico) was the first stage to introduce the MO32 SMARTSIZE SERIES to the market. Together with its strategic distributional partner in Italy, SAIM S.p.a, STEYR MOTORS unveiled the curtain of the long kept secret on the exhibiton's first evening, October 1st.
The product line, which is easily recognised by its straigtht and simple white scatch board design and works just as easily for the future customers. A unique developed 2 cylinder parallel twin Marine Diesel engine – the MO32 – based on the robust STEYR MONOBLOCK design - allows a very compact design and offers new possibilities of placing system components.
The second highly appreciated and welcomed introduction is the new 6-cylinder line that was shown to the public for the first time. The redesigned product line still offers STEYR MOTORS most valued product characteristics but was improved in various areas like servicing. The new 6-cylinder range will be available in 2012.
Next to those two product innovations / news the exhibition in Genova was quite a success and visitors were professionally informed and advised by the team of SAIM S.p.a., David Oakey (Mitchell Systems) and team members from Austria - a heartfelt thanks to all of those who made the show such a big success!!! The new MO32 SMARTSIZE SERIES and the new 6-cylinder product range will be on display at the METS in Amsterdam, the Salon Nautique in December and the BOOT in Düsseldorf !
