To support the current expansion of STEYR MOTORS, the management will be strengthened. Together with Rudolf Mandorfer, who will continue to be the CEO of the Austrian engine manufacturer, the current head of engineering, Michael Aschaber, will take up the task of CTO with immediate effect. Whilst Mr Mandorfer is responsible for the commercial topics (Purchasing, Quality, Aftersales, HR, Marketing, Sales, Finance, IT), Mr Aschaber will control the technical side of the business (Engineering, Production & Logistic, Project management, Prototyping). The dual management set up establishes the necessary structures to support expansion of the business as well as the increase in staff which have started straight after the change of ownership last year. Next to the new task Michael Aschaber will continue to lead the engineering department of STEYR MOTORS.
Additionally the engineering company was able to recruit Dr. Natascha Friedl, formerly working for Siemens VAI, last autumn as new Head of Finance to lead STEYR MOTORS through the internationalisation process due to the new ownership. Ms Friedl will play an important part as authorized signatory of the Diesel engine specialist during the expansion, which also makes the engineering company the heart of the currently being set up global STEYR MOTORS group.
